Sign Language Interpreter (ASL)

Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational setting near Buford, GA. This contract opportunity extends through the end of the 2026-2027 school year and offers the chance to work in a positive, collaborative environment.

As a valued team member, you’ll provide 1:1 sign language interpretation services in a school environment—primarily onsite at Alliance Academy with a part-time floating assignment within the district. Your work will directly impact student learning, ensuring every child can access education and communication fully.

• Hold a valid GA DOE SLI License—this must be in hand and ready to present.
• Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, ideally in a school setting.
• Strong command of ASL (American Sign Language).
• Professionalism, reliability, and a supportive approach to working with students.
• Comfort navigating a dynamic environment, with the flexibility to float as needed between assignments.

• Provide 1:1 interpretation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Collaborate with educators and staff to foster inclusive education and communication.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all district policies and procedures.
• Adapt approaches as needed to best support the needs of individual students.
• Participate actively as a trusted resource in the school community.
