Controller - CRE - Remote

A small commercial real estate firm is hiring a hands-on Controller to run its accounting operations. The role connects day-to-day property and development accounting with executive management.

• Run month-end and year-end close, and prepare property-level financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
• Track development and construction costs, manage lender draw requests, and handle acquisition, disposition and placed-in-service accounting
• Oversee bank reconciliations, daily cash flow and funding sources. Maintain check, ACH and wire safeguards, and set up new accounts
• Support budgets, coordinate external tax returns, and calculate partner waterfall distributions and project IRRs
• Manage full-cycle AP/AR and cash receipts
• Process payroll and coordinate benefits open enrollment and insurance renewals with outside consultants

This is a small team with minimal admin support. The right person is comfortable doing the full range of accounting work, manages their own workload to hit monthly deadlines, and helps others with reporting questions.

$175,000-$225,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus discretionary annual bonus.
