Mechanical Estimator - Alpharetta

In this role, you will support complex industrial and large commercial projects as a Mechanical Estimator. You will work closely with internal design teams to develop design-build solutions and perform detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection scopes. You will manage bid processes, review drawings, and coordinate with subcontractors to source and evaluate bids on projects typically ranging from $15M to $100M. This position emphasizes collaboration, rigorous estimating, and on-site engagement to drive accurate, timely bids. A strong focus on large-scale, non-residential projects and the ability to work onsite in Atlanta are key hooks of this opportunity.

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC and plumbing systems
• Estimate fire protection scopes and coordinate with subcontractors for bid sourcing
• Support pricing and scoping for large industrial/manufacturing projects (no residential or retail)
• Work closely with internal design teams to develop custom design-build solutions
• Review incomplete drawings and determine what information is needed to complete estimates
• Manage deadlines, internal review dates, and kickoff meeting preparation
• Collaborate on projects ranging from $15M–$100M in value

Key requirements

• 5+ years of mechanical estimating experience (more preferred)
• Strong HVAC and plumbing quantity takeoff experience
• Fire xklufbp protection estimation experience
• Experience sourcing and evaluating subcontractor bids
• Background in large commercial, industrial, or manufacturing projects
• Ability to work onsite in Atlanta (5 days/week initially; 1 remote day/week based on performance)
